A fill for this GKM prompt. AU after The Break Up. Blaine finds out that he’s pregnant after Kurt breaks up with him (with Kurt’s child, no less). He tries telling Kurt about it, but Kurt refuses to talk to him. Blaine decides to finish his senior year at home and give the baby up for adoption. Only he doesn’t. He ends up keeping the baby — a daughter — and takes her to New York with him when he leaves for college. He raises her partially on his own with some help from his parents, and tries to juggle parenthood, school, and work. And everything works out okay for a little over two years — until he runs into Kurt.

I always have a lot of tabs open, and most of them usually go forgotten after they’re hidden under twelve open Amazon pages and a load more fic. Not this one. Since I first read it, this fic has been constantly open on my iPad and I check it for an update every day. The other day, I got my wish, and got to read on another chapter in this magnificent fic. The situations are tricky, the emotions explode, the relationships are often held together with only the thinnest strings of hope, and it’s exhilarating. I want to recommend it to the world, for everyone to refresh the page every day in the hope of reading more about Joy and her dads. A beautiful, touching story. I’d recommend it even if you don’t like mpreg.

This collection was already cemented in my favourites list before I recommended it to a friend, but then she turned up at my door with a blue paper crane and my heart heart melted and now I love this even more. Seven stories about Klaine, some AU and some canon, but all containing the origami delight that is cranes. I actually started my own thousand paper cranes mission before reading this, but this collection has made my desire to complete it double. A must-read for anyone who loves the Japanese myth and for people who don’t mind their teeth rotting due to literary sweetness.

The most important thing about New Directions is its heart. Kurt worries that it could change; Blaine won’t let it. (A conversation at dawn, in the summer, a while before Kurt leaves for New York.)

Short, sweet, and a perfect example of the importance of the glee club. This fic is made all the more powerful now that New Directions is over and everybody is in New York, but it’s a happy reminder of that time when Kurt stayed behind before moving on. The playground is the perfect setting, and little details like Blaine’s cat really help to keep this fic alive. A highly enjoyable read.

I normally don’t go for supernatural stories, but I gave this one a shot because I love Ed Sheeran, and Give Me Love is a beautiful song. I’m so glad I read this story; it’s beautifully written and the story that’s told captivated me. Thoroughly recommend this to anyone. Loved it.

I was recommended this fic and thought I’d wait until my workload slowed until I read it. Like that was going to happen after I’d read the summary! My midnight was full of images of Klaine falling in love in an old Victorian house and renovating the place, and my pillow was stained with tears for the entirety of the fast-paced, emotional final chapter. A great read, and well-deserving of five stars.
