A Thousand Paper Cranes – arainymonday
15,820 words — 7 chapters — complete
“He who folds one thousand papers cranes pleases the gods and shall have his heart’s greatest desire.” – Japanese proverb. Kurt and Blaine fold paper cranes together. A series of vignettes written for Klaine Week 2012.
This collection was already cemented in my favourites list before I recommended it to a friend, but then she turned up at my door with a blue paper crane and my heart heart melted and now I love this even more. Seven stories about Klaine, some AU and some canon, but all containing the origami delight that is cranes. I actually started my own thousand paper cranes mission before reading this, but this collection has made my desire to complete it double. A must-read for anyone who loves the Japanese myth and for people who don’t mind their teeth rotting due to literary sweetness.
