This fic was especially sweet. What I loved most about it was how there’s still so much left unsaid. Between each chapter lies several years, and you can imagine what you like happening in those gaps. There are cliffhangers and cuddles and cuteness and care and cars to Dalton. August James Hummel-Anderson is the perfect little boy, and a brilliant young man.

In this fic, Kurt is a cheerleader struggling with his grades, so he asks Blaine to help him. It turns out Blaine needed someone to take photos of for his photography class… and the rest is history.

I loved reading this little drabble. In the process of trying to avoid Klaine Season 5 spoilers, I came across this. Clearly, I failed, but I didn’t know at this point. Very sweet, and left me reeling for days. Perfect to digest with a mug of coffee before you start your day (though you might want to withhold the sugar; this fic is plenty sweet enough).

I found this whilst looking for something a friend recommended to me (and failing). At two in the morning, this fic made its way on to my screen. By morning, I had almost finished it. Yes, I didn’t get a lot of sleep that night, but it was well worth it. An unlikely meeting place for these two men but their story was touching, from Valentine’s Day dates to trips back to Ohio. A great read (though maybe try getting some sleep, too).

Another story which I didn’t believe could live up to its hype, Swing Sets and Sandboxes is a masterpiece of Klaine fiction. Little Kurt and Blaine are torn apart from each other by circumstances out of their control, and when they meet many years later the trust and closeness they had as kids is hard to rediscover, especially when Blaine reveals something which shatters Kurt’s heart in two. A sweet story which deserves a read, and which really is as good as everyone says it is.

It’s one of those moments where you go “okay, this is happening…” Then another when you go, “THIS IS ACTUALLY HAPPENING!!” I don’t think Kurt will ever be more pleased that he went on tour, not that his car broke down. And I don’t believe Blaine will ever be more thankful for coffee. With a wholesome serving of Rachel Berry.

Runner!Klaine series from Tumblr: Kurt is running his very first marathon for Reasons (and they’re really good ones. Probably). Blaine is a marathon junkie with a total disregard for how good looking he is at seven in the morning (or in spandex pants). It’s a good thing they’re made for each other, because there are 26 more miles to the finish line.

I actually read this after the sequel (After), and am glad I did. Although it may not seem to make sense to read them out of order, this acts as almost a flashback to the events which happen in the epilogue. If, however, you were to read them in the intended order, you will see a beautiful love story, the pain and the sweat and love so startlingly real that it isn’t a surprise to discover the author runs marathons.

The epilogue to Anywhere You Go, the runner!klaine trilogy, written after this year’s Boston Marathon. It’s been three years since Kurt met Blaine back in Ohio, the morning of his first marathon. Some things stay the same, but today (the day of Blaine’s first New York City Marathon) something big is going to change.

Although this is a follow-on fic, I really don’t think it matters if you read this or Anywhere You Go (I’ll Follow You Down) first. I read this one first, basking in the feelings and the humour and the memories. However much you hate running, this could make you want to put on a pair of trainers and get to the finishing line. After all, you never know what is going to be waiting for you.
